At Happy Place Animal Rescue, we want every animal to know love and kindness. We love and value the lives of every animal that enters our care. We treat each animal humanely and with respect and compassion. Our mission is to rescue, raise, rehabilitate and find loving homes for abandoned, neglected, and abused animals. We hold ourselves accountable to do what is best for each individual animal.

My love for caring for animals has been my passion for as long as I can remember. But everyday life had taken priority. Working, raising children, dedication to my husband, etc, etc. Now my kids are grown, I’m officially retired, and the love of my life has passed away. So it’s just me.! I moved to the hill country and decided it was time to dedicate all my energy to my passion. The majority of the animals I receive have either been abandoned, orphaned, injured, or abused, and have been removed from the owner. I take them in, rehabilitate them (if not too late) and then find them loving homes. The expense for all of the above is pretty high. But I’ve managed to do the best I can. I have wonderful neighbors that have donated food and other material items to help around here.. But there’s so much more that could be done, but funds are limited. Im not good at asking for donations, and believe me, I will continue to care and love every animal I take in. This has been my dream and I’m now living it!

Rescue
Rescue is the first step in a long journey for abandoned, neglected, or abused animals. Our facility is located in the Texas Hill Country on the Frio River. This area provides a beautiful, natural setting where animals can heal, breathe, and learn to hope again.

Rehabilitate
Rehabilitating animals is not an easy task, and doing that when they are injured or sick is so much harder. From the sleepless nights to every 2 hour feedings, making sure they stay hydrated and the devotion to show them love when maybe they have never known it before.

Rehome
We are committed to reintroducing, love, hope, joy, and safety into each of our rescued animals lives, but the final step in healing for every animal is when they go HOME.
